What is the size of a stand alone model?

Keep in mind that a stand alone model might not fit through a standard door. Also – unless you’ve ordered the flight case on casters – you will need a hand pallet or forklift to move it around. The units have fork pockets in the front and the back just like a regular pallet.

  • 52.91 in x 38.6 in x 41.46 in (L/W/H)
  • Height Screen deployed = 54.14 in
  • 1344mm x 980mm x 1053mm (L/W/H)
  • Height Screen deployed = 1375mm
  • Weight: 661.40 Lbs / 300 Kg

I'm seeing a black screen in my headset.

If you’re seeing a black screen in your Oculus Rift headset or the display you’re using (example: monitor, television), try these troubleshooting tips:

Open the Oculus window (ALT-Tab to switch between open windows or open the Oculus software in case it is not open yet by typing ‘oculus’ in the windows search box)

Check if the headset is being recognized by the Oculus software.

Depending on your installed version

Older verions:
Click the gear icon in the top right corner.
Open the Devices tab

Newer verions:
Click ‘Devices’ on the left.
Click on the headset and check if there’s an error.

If the headset is not detected or if there’s a hardware failure check if the HMDI connector is plugged in and if the USB connector is plugged into a USB 3.0 port.

Still no connection with your headset?
Check if the connector leading into the top left of the headset (if you’re looking into the headset). This connector might have been disconnected while taking off the headset. Push it to make sure it is well connected. You might hear it click when it snaps back into place.

If you continue experiencing problems, restart your computer and try again.
If that doesn’t help please contact support.

I'm seeing a black screen on my external display.

At start up you might need to put on the headset and acknowledge Oculus’s health and safety warning by looking at the box underneath the text for 3 seconds. If the screen still remains black, try to push the power button on the screen and check if the input is set to ‘Display Port’.

If that is not the case and if you are still seeing a black screen on your external monitor check:

  • If the display port cable on the back of the monitor is well connected.
  • If the monitor is turned on (power button on front side, lower right corner)
  • If the input source is set to Display Port (menu buttons on the front side of the monitor, lower right corner)

If you continue experiencing problems, restart your computer and try again.

If that doesn’t help please contact support.

The view in the headset is not pointed forward

Although each unit is set up and tested before being shipped, it can happen that the Oculus headset needs to be re-calibrated. Make sure your unit has an internet connection, contact support@forklift-simulator.com and we’ll guide you through it remotely.

Shut down the unit by pushing the power button. Next, unplug the unit for at least 1 minute. Start up and retry.

Step 2:

If the previous step did not solve your problem check the USB game controller settings by typing ‘USB game controller settings’ in the windows search box and opening it. In the list of installed game controllers you should see a device named BU0836A or BU836X. Make sure it is selected and then click the ‘Advanced’ dropdown menu.
